PPS is the "communication bridge" between on-site technology (PZTS/EPS/ACS) and the monitoring centre. Without reliable transmission, monitoring is only theory.
What is being looked at in practice
- Dohled nad linkou: communication failure detection.
- Redundance: primary and backup transmission (e.g. IP + GSM/LTE).
- Message prioritization: fire/attack has a different weight than failure.
PPS is typically dealt with in connection with an external reception center, responsible persons and agreed reaction times.
