RAID se v CCTV world is mainly handled because of recording availability (disks fail) and performance with many parallel streams.
Important clarification
RAID is not backup. Protects against disk failure, not deletion, ransomware or misconfiguration. For critical installations, it makes sense to deal with the separate backup / export of key incidents.
