Construction site security

Construction site risks change as work progresses. We agree which entrances, fencing, stored materials and risk points need checking, how findings are recorded and who receives the handover. Assignments outside Brno are confirmed according to location, timing, scope and team availability.

A regime for each construction phase

Security needs to change with the site.

Early works, busy delivery periods and fit-out all need different control points. Each shift therefore needs current instructions, not an old site plan.

Early works

We confirm the site boundary, entrances, patrol routes and the places where equipment or materials remain on site.

Day-to-day construction

Where required, records of vehicles, contractors and visitors are aligned with deliveries, entrances and site working hours.

Fit-out and handover

Control points shift towards completed areas, equipment, keys and entrances that should no longer remain freely accessible.

Details for an initial proposal

what is complete and what is changing

  3. 03Working hours

During a shift

From receiving instructions to handing over findings.

Before starting, the security officer needs to know what to check, who may enter the site and who receives a call when something changes. Presence at the gate alone does not provide that operating regime.

  1. 01

    Shift handover

Current instructions, site changes, contacts and areas with special access rules.

  2. 02

    Entrance and vehicle gate

Permission checks and records of people or vehicles where included in the brief.

  3. 03

    Patrol

Fencing, entrance points, stored materials and other locations agreed in advance.

  4. 04

    Record and handover

Defects and unusual situations are recorded and handed to the named client contact.

People and technology

Technology can extend coverage. Someone still needs to own the response.

If the site has CCTV, an alarm or another monitoring system, the response route should be agreed in advance. The technical system is usually managed by the client or its supplier.
01

On-site security

Entrances, patrols, checks of changing conditions and situations that require judgement on site.

02

Client technology

Monitoring of selected points or closed periods where it is clear who receives and verifies an alert.

03

Combined regime

Separate responsibilities for what the system monitors, what the officer checks and who receives a finding.

FAQ

What to know before sending an enquiry

Answers about the brief, entrance procedures, changing site phases and pricing.
01What should we send for an initial construction site security proposal?

The address, current construction phase, working hours, number of pedestrian and vehicle entrances, what remains on site outside working hours and the named client contact are enough to start. We will ask if anything is missing.

02Can security record vehicles and contractors?

Yes, if this is included in the brief. Before the service starts, we agree who may enter, what information is recorded and who receives a report when something does not match the rules.

03What happens if the fencing is damaged?

The procedure for damaged fencing is agreed in advance. The security officer records the defect and informs the named contact, then follows the instructions included in the agreed scope.

04How is the service adjusted as construction progresses?

After a significant change in layout or operation, the entrances, patrol points, protected materials and contacts need to be confirmed again. A regime used during groundworks may not fit the building fit-out phase.

05How much does construction site security cost?

The price depends on the number of positions and hours, daytime or overnight work, patrol scope, vehicle gates and the responsibilities assigned to the security officer. We prepare a specific quote from the address, construction phase and required operating regime.
