Communication plan
What does the term mean
Defines communication processes for both routine and incidents (channels, escalations, contacts).
Communication plan prevents the incident from "overwhelming the radio" and no one knows who has what to report. It typically specifies radio channels, roles, an escalation tree, and contacts.
The minimum that must work
- who leads the resolution of the incident (one name),
- who calls the police / fire brigade / EMS,
- where is the ICP and who reports to it,
- how evacuation/invacuation is instructed.
