Rock for People is one of the big festivals in the Czech Republic. High attendance places demands on logistics, transport and the movement of people around the campus in Hradec Kralove. Bravion participated in operational security in cooperation with Cechymen.
The traffic part of the festival is usually the first and last contact with the event for the visitor. If it is not comprehensible, nervousness arises even before entering the premises, and after the end of the program the delay can be transmitted to the surrounding traffic. Therefore, it is necessary for parking, navigation and supervision of selected areas to follow one mode.
Challenge: rush hour traffic and orientation
The main task was to handle the onslaught of vehicles arriving in a short period of time. The priority was smooth arrival, passability of important routes and comprehensible navigation for visitors.
Procedure in cooperation with Cechymen
Within the transport regime, the following parts were particularly important:
Division of parking zones according to vehicle types and tickets so that capacity corresponds to traffic.
Traffic control on access roads according to the current load and the organizer's instructions.
Supervision of selected parking areas and transmission of operational situations according to the agreed regime.
Operational evaluation
The reference shows that the transport part of the festival needs clear roles, comprehensible navigation and continuous evaluation of the loading of arrival points. You can find further connections in the article Safety at festivals.
The traffic and parking regime is often less visible than the work directly at the stage, but it is essential for the overall progress of the event. If the visitor arrives without unnecessary stress and finds an understandable way to leave after the end of the program, it reduces the pressure on the organizer and the surrounding area. Bravion's involvement in the transport part was mainly based on discipline, communication and patience.
