Festival Pop Messe brings the contemporary alternative scene to Brno. The location and the program require a security regime adapted to the movement of visitors, the background and operation of the site. Bravion participated in the security operation of the event in cooperation with Cechymen.
At a city festival of this type, the music program, the movement of visitors and the operational needs of the area are intertwined. Therefore, the security team should not be distracting, but must be sufficiently legible for visitors and organizers. It is essential to agree on the roles, quickly orientate yourself in the space and the ability to react to normal operational situations without unnecessary escalation.

Course and continuity
Clear communication with the organizers and establishing a common operating regime were essential for work in selected parts of the festival. Bravion took over specific parts of the operation and kept a uniform procedure with the main partner and organizer.
What is essential for a similar event
For a festival set in an urban environment, security must adapt to the rhythm of the program. At some times it is more important to orient the visitors, at other times to supervise transitions between parts of the area or to quickly pass on information to the organizer. Such an event needs clear roles, calm communication and respect for the character of the place.
Bravion was not the sole implementer of the whole event here. The involvement related to a common security regime: follow-up to the organizer, work according to the agreed framework and communication with visitors without unnecessary escalation.
Cooperation conceived in this way should be predictable for the organizer: the team knows where its role is, to whom it passes information and in what style it communicates with visitors. This operational predictability is especially important for a city festival.
