Cameras in the workplace

Cameras in the workplace are legally sensitive: property protection in itself is not an automatic “pass” for monitoring people at work. You have to have a legitimate reason, minimize exposure, and it can't slide into performance control.

Typical errors

• shot directly to the desk / cash register by evaluating the performance,
• audio recording (mostly indefensible),
• unclear information to employees and missing documentation.
